Hello

I have recently been appointed by Durham Wildlife Trust to do a project on great crested newts in the darlington area. I would be very interested in recieving previous data off anybody (if you send it in GIS format we use arc9). If know of the location of newts in this area please can you let me know where.

As part of this project I plan to do surveys across Darlington to establish newt sites - again anyone interesting in participating in these surveys let me know! We have a member of staff with a newt license making this possible!

thanks!

i think very few people would take someone out kayaking if they cannot swim - far too dangerous - even on flat water where the chance of tipping is minimal its just not worth it sadly...

Personally I find nothing wrong with wild animals as pets ....meet my pet fox - perfectly happy whether asleep on my bed or after the giant donkey (appears to cause no harm to the small kitten in the donkey photo)

my advice with substrate is get a huge bag - will last you the year but save you a fortune. i think a 15kg bag is about ú25 whereas the little bags u can pick up with 1 finger are 7-8 so pro rata thats better. i have corn snakes too so both us the same stuff as the geckos

ah albino leopard makes sense - very nice :-)
