nothing new on smooth newts since may! outrageous laziness guys n gals!

heres a poor pic of a male surfacing. better than nothing!

not sure if vulg or helv - i didnt pick them up

For juveniles, if the stripe along the back extends onto the tail, and/or is of equal intensity all the way along, they're palmates. So I'd guess at least 3 of those are palmate.
