Posted: 25 Aug 2004 Hi Alan, I was at Frensham on Saturday and saw 3 sand lizards, plus quite a number of common lizards. Took some pics (not digital) and just waiting for them to be processed. Hopefully they'll come out, although your pic is very impressive. Danial Consultant Ecologist and Amphibians Officer of Surrey Amphibian and Reptile Group www.surrey-arg.org.uk |

Posted: 25 Aug 2004 Hi Daniel, :¼) Great stuff, looking forward to your pictures. I saw 3 today , but only this one was kind enough to sit still for pictures. Cheers, Al O-> O+> |

Posted: 03 Sep 2004 Lucky bugger ! - I spent 6 hours tramping thru Frensham yesterday, found only a handful of common lizards - I'm not looking in the right spot !, but I'll find 'em :P Steve Langham - Chairman Surrey Amphibian & Reptile Group (SARG). |

Posted: 12 Sep 2004 Whoop - Found 'em ! Finally found my first confirmed Frensham Sand lizard, although pretty poor photos I got of it. Only 5 metres away was a beautiful female adder to boot (basking in heather, but its tail was sticking out), made the whole day's tramping about worth while :P Steve Langham - Chairman Surrey Amphibian & Reptile Group (SARG). |

Guess there's such a thing as walking too softly :P Hardly saw another person, Great day ! Steve Langham - Chairman Surrey Amphibian & Reptile Group (SARG). |

Posted: 17 Sep 2004 Strange...According to my 'sheet' I was there until about 13:30, I only saw a couple of 'walkers' and a pair of MTBers. Mind you its a big place, maybe we were at different bits...tho I've only found Sandies at one part, so far. For future reference, I'm the 6'2 'built like a brick outhouse' with long hair guy with a camera around my neck :P I hadn't seen a Natrix in the sand lizard bit before yesterday, and what with all the nadders there...think the Sandies are having a rough time :(
