Posted: 26 Jul 2008 Peter and I found this lovely common lizard basking about 3 foot off the ground! (Oh my ..... my shadow looks like a giant alien with huge eyes, I thought I was feeling a little funny this morning) This one below was very brave, so I got a nice close shot And finally this little copper youngster about 2 inches long! Cheers |

Posted: 27 Jul 2008 Getting to grips with that camera then Mark There is a very healthy population of viviparous lizards on the site at which Mark`s images were taken. I walk it regularly and still keep encountering new individuals. There are a few animals that sit high in the strip of vegetation depicted in the first two images. This year`s juveniles began appearing at the site almost a fortnight ago. If only the natrix at the site were so obliging!
