HI all I have over the past 11years up to my cats death I had huge almost flurescent yellow slugs  OVER 7" LONG that visited my back yard and thrive by eating my cats food including the hard tack cat biscuits I left outside. also they seemed to be able to flatten out and enter under my kitchen door  leaving slug trails everywhere  I think they even tried to eat me slip mat.do you think these are mutants? and can I sleep safely in my bed anymore without the fear of a slug attack  keith AGILIS39660.5178356481

If you live in a bungalow then possibly not! However if you have stairs you might stop them getting up to get you by liberally sprinkling salt over the stairs. That should slow them down a bit.

Some friends have just moved into house with a small patio that is over run with slug and snails.  Any suggestions for an "eco-friendly" way of limitng their number?

I believe you can buy parasitic nematodes, specializing in slugs/snails, from garden centres.

My wife bought some eco-friendly product that was made from egg shells that deterred the slugs/snails from crossing and eating our plants
