I was thinking about getting a new pet but couldnt think what as i already have a dog and several fish.I thought what about newts do i need a tank with a light in or what?Could i keep them in one of those old fashinoned fish bowls

I would of thought that a fish bowl is not sutible so i would keep it in a normal tank with half of it filled with water and half with land.
im not sure but i would think that the water should be at least 8 cm deep with plenty of weeds in and for the land part it should have a sheltered hiding place and the rest should be damp.As for the lighting and heting...
i have no idea...
but i think that depends if its tropical.
