Me and the girls just got back from Wirral and just dropped in on our local grass snake site.We found 4 in 5 minutes and the girls got to touch one,next time I reckon I can persuade them to hold one. Posted: 06 Aug 2009 I actually got so close to a grassy yesterday that I nearly stepped on the bugger - in fact I did step on a branch that then pinned it (gently) to the ground! One o'clock in the afternoon and twenty seven degrees - I wasn't even looking

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 had a very enjoyable hour or so with one of the kids this afternoon. loads of common lizards around, a few adders but no grassies.

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 Tim that lizard pic is so close it could have taken it itself.  Nice adder /butterfly pic.We could start a theme here with other wildlife along side reptiles.
