I find the lack of instant response from digital camera shutter buttons loses me some good shots of animals on the move, I have tried quite a few including some from the lumix range and still the same prob, nowhere near as fast in capturing moving shots as a older film camera instant capture, event when using the multiple shot facility it still takes that split second to get a response anyone know some thing I dont, or can recomend a camera that is more suitable KeithAGILIS40444.3230092593

Hi Keith.

Digital SLRs are pretty much instantaneous, but obviously more expensive than a typical compact point-and-shoot.  The Nikon D3000 + lens is ~340.  You also get the opportunity to spend (lots) more money on specialist macro lenses.

Some of the more expensive Canon compacts have a "Quick Shot" mode which works pretty well.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Tim.
